Community Life Photographs 1966-1978

This series comprises 87 black and white and color photographs depicting aspects of the life of the deaconess community. They date from 1966-1978 and include a variety of sizes. Subject matter for the photographs includes holiday observances, meetings, places of work, and general community life. Of note, there is a photograph of the first meeting of the Diakonia of the Americas (DOTA) held in 1968 and several photographs depicting deaconess working in a variety of settings, such as teacher and missionary. Also included in this series are two strip negatives for the color photographs of the observance of the Santa Lucia Christmas season tradition. Files are arranged alphabetically.
